Since the advent of the mobile phone and laptop computer, being out of the office does not mean being out of touch. Our lives are very much on the go and we want to be able to work wherever we are! The data available to the person away from the office is not really “live” – it is simply as good as the last upload. The new 3G technology has allowed for even greater freedoms and the latest mobile technology is truly “LIVE”. There is no need to upload and download as the user is directly interfacing with the main system – in real time. This approach presents a higher level of security for companies using this technology, company colleagues have no data on their equipment, should the equipment become lost or stolen there is no sensitive data to be found - security is controlled in the office.
