The UK small and medium size enterprise (SME) market is extremely diverse, comprising 1.2 million businesses. SME's employ 56 per cent of the UK workforce and account for half of the £2.4trillion sales of all companies in the country (Source DTI). With Macro and Micro market conditions becoming increasingly competitive, the UK SME market is turning to enterprise software technology to gain a competitive edge.
Within the UK SME market, utilisation of enterprise, resource and planning (ERP) software is fragmented. The top 10 providers all posess small market share.
